Syrah- Visited a Potential Source

Currently, I am looking for a Syrah vineyard in Amador County, Contra Costa County, or Paso Robles. I'm excited because the best Syrah regions in California have yet to be discovered. Also, I want to experiment with some Australian wine techniques-- (e.g. press around 3 Brix into American and French oak.

Yesterday, I visited Jeff Tamayo's vineyard in Brentwood which is just south of Oakley. Contra Costa county is getting more attention because some reknowned wineries are making some excellent wines:

Jeff's 40 acre vineyard (30 Syrah; 10 Cabernet Sauvignon). His new boutique winery, Ca'Na, produced 225 cases last year, and 1,200+ this year. He's doing custom crush in St. Helena.
