Eno Wines Wins Prestigious Design Award; To Be Published in ID Magazine
Patrick Castro, the graphic designer behind all of Eno, called me today with great news. Eno Wines had won an award in I.D. magazine's Design Annual issue for the 2001 Little Miss Dangerous and Small Town Hero packaging. Due to the huge number of applicants and the quality of the magazine, it is viewed as the most prestigious graphic design contest. It is unclear if we got Gold, Silver, or Bronze, or Honorable Mention. We'll have to wait until July when it hits the news stands.
Here is an excerpt from the notification:
Congratulations! Eno Wines has been awarded in the Packaging category of this year's Annual Design Review. Judging from the archives, our entry pool was among the strongest in the 50-year history of this competition. We received more than 2,000 designs from around the world, of which our distinguished jurors selected 159 for publication.
Your work will be featured in I.D.'s July/August 2004 issue.
Thank you for your participation.
Kind regards,
Ruth Altchek

congratulations Sasha and Patrick!
That's an absolutely PHENOMENAL accomplishment...I would say that I'm surprised, but I would be lying; it's just a matter of time before you blow the graphic design/info design/wine world's lid off its melon! This prestigious honor is just the beginning for you Cha Cha as far as I see it..Just keep doing what you're doing! Stay Brilliant!

Posted by: sy on March 10, 2004 01:04 PMThis is a really remarkable acheivement ! Or not - considering that Mr Castro is nothing short of a design god. And having a 'client' like Sasha who so deeply believes in and "gets" the power of great, innovative design.
Damn guys, this is wonderful.
