Harvest Update- Fairview Pinot

I spoke last night with Kirk Williams, the grower at Fairview Road Ranch. In the past 10 days, the grapes have gone up 3 Brix. This is surprising because, except for 2 warmer days, the temperatures have been in the low 80s and upper 50’s at night.

After walking the vineyard with Gary Franscioni (Garys’ Vineyard, Rosella’s Vineyard, and ROAR wines) and Dan Lee (Morgan Winery), Kirk will continue watering. With such great acidity, looks like the fruit will be picked riper.
