Bottled the 2006 Wines
On May 13, 2008, Bravo Bottling, a mobile bottling line from Dry Creek came to our winery in Berkeley. Parking a 48' Semi and setting up next to businesses and home is always a challenge. Fortunately, everything went real smoothly. We bottled all 5 lots of our 2006 winesand close to 9,000 bottles. This is the first year we used Stelvin screwcaps. We are very excited about this change and hope that our wines will retain their freshness and continue to age.
Eric Harnett, the owner of Bravo Bottling, and his assistant Dennis were excellent. Bottling can be one of the most stressful times for a winemaker; after babying the wines for 1+ year, it can all go wrong in one moment. Fortunately, Bravo was extremely professional, experienced, and easy to worth with. Plus, our assistant winemaker, Ken Zinns, and David Sanchez "The Wine Pimp" lead a great crew.
