Visiting Eaglepoint Ranch to see the new house & vineyard
Casey Hartlip, the grower of Eaglepoint Ranch and someone I view as a dear friend, invited Kiara, Anya, and I to stay at his new house built on the ranch. Recently completed, we were amazed with the thoughtful details, the views, and the peace & quiet.
Casey and Lynne are wonderful hosts. They cooked an amazing meal that rivaled last year's epic Buck Steaks and not surprisingly we drank lots of Grenache. The 2005 Outpost Grenache rocked and was a clear favorite. Casey busted out some of his old bones (His first Coro and an 2002 EP Petit Sirah).
The next morning we all got in the truck (along with Eaglepoint Ranch mascot and Anya's new best friend, Pee-Wee) and cruised the vineyard. We visited our Grenache block. In spite of a frost full Spring, the vines looked pretty darn good.

It is clear they have built a true dream house that will be enjoyed for many years to come. If our over-nighter is any indication, their home will be full abundant memories. Thank you Casey & Lynne.
